Job Overview
Hetal is hiring a Senior Front-End Engineer to own and evolve the user-facing experience across its web and mobile products. This is a full-time, fully remote role focused on building high-quality React web applications and collaborating on React Native iOS and Android apps.
Hetal is a fast-growing, VC-backed retail audit and execution platform that uses computer vision and real-world shopper data to help brands understand shelf conditions, planogram compliance, and in-store execution. Founded by former Felix Gray executives, Hetal operates with a small, highly collaborative team and a strong product-driven culture.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of front-end architecture, work closely with product and design, and build data-rich user experiences used by enterprise retail teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain React-based web features from design through deployment
- Collaborate on React Native features for iOS and Android applications
- Partner closely with product and design to refine requirements, UX flows, and edge cases
- Develop data-rich dashboards that present complex insights clearly and effectively
- Create shared UI components and reusable business logic across web and mobile
- Improve application reliability and user experience in real-world conditions (connectivity, media, permissions)
- Support and mentor junior developers while fostering a collaborative engineering culture
Requirements / Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional front-end development experience
- Deep experience with React, including hooks, state management, and performance optimization
- Experience working with React Native for mobile applications
- Strong understanding of scalable front-end architecture and component design
- Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, product managers, and engineers
- Experience working in early-stage or fast-moving startup environments
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails backend systems
- Experience handling mobile-specific concerns such as offline states or media capture
- Background building data-heavy or dashboard-driven applications

- Base salary: $125,000 – $165,000 per year
